It's a Friday 12:30 AM and I’m about to experience ‘The World’. After nine month inside my Mom's belly, I'm interested how my Daddy looks like.

I’m very excited.

You'll ask why I want to know how Daddy looks and not Mom? Well, I’ve been with her long enough and she was hanging out in front of the mirror for hours and I know that she is the most beautiful mother in the world.

But I want to see how his face matches to his voice.

I want to get out, but Mom needs a break right now. So we will rest for a couple of hours.

Oh 1:00 PM already! I need to do something. “Mom, Mom, push!” Yeah, that’s good. Poor Mom. She’s having a hard time right now.

Well, she took care of herself and me for nine month and I’m well fed and I’ve grown a lot and she is a bit tiny for my dimensions.

Ok Mom, do it again, Push! Great job.

2:30 PM. Man this is harder then I thought. Poor Mom.

3:25 PM. Ah, I am feeling something on my head. Weird. Hmm, it tries to pull me out of here. Good. That’ll work. Keep going Mom, Push!

Yeah that’s great. And, and, and, ………..

3:30 PM. Well, here I am! Uh feels different. But hey, wait a minute. Who is he? That’s not Daddy’s voice.

Ah, I guess this is who they call Doctor. Yeah, I can hear him. Yes over there. Yes it’s him. Well, not bad. He’s an okey dokey joe. I take him.

But where is Mom? Yes bring me to here. “Hi Mom. I’m your daughter. You are even more beautiful then I thought. Guess the fluid covered my sight.

Ahhh, that’s a nice feeling. Heard them talking about this. They call it ‘kuscheln’. It’s German for ‘nestle’. Ok Mom, I’ll be around for good.

Don’t worry. We’ll make it.”

Have had a great night. ‘The World’ after all isn’t that bad. A bit colder then Mom’s belly though, a bit brighter, a bit louder. All these noisy kids around.

They are the same age. Some of them are much younger. We are talking ‘bout centuries: two or three hours younger or so. “Babies!”

I’m about to meet my Grandma today. Have heard a lot about her. Must be a nice woman.

Here they come: doctors, nurses. Examine here, test there, blood sample here, measurement there. They are taking good care of me here.

Who’s he? One of the cleaners? Heck no. I’ve seen him before. Ah yeah, it’s Dad. Hey dude, lookin’ good today. Changed, showered, shaved. Cool. Let’s go.

I’m hungry. Bring me to Mommy. Hey watch out: the door! Good. Drivin’ good.

Hi Mom! How ya doin’ today? Ah and this must be Grandma. Hey nice to meet you. Love you already. You look great. It’s good to have you around.

I AM HUNGRY! Well, no need to yell. Mom and Dad are taking good care of me.

Visitors! What the heck… Guess it’s usual to have visitors the first day. Yes? I don’t know. Can’t say no. “Hi Foleys! Nice to meet you too.”

Uahhhh. It’s time to take a nap. Napping is good. Love to nap. Love to eat. Love to … burp.

Sunday. Goin’ home today. Whew! Great! Yahoo! Can’t wait to see my home.

But first gotta see the doctor again. Here she comes. Don’t I look good today, Doc? Yeah thanks, I know: “Big healthy girl!”

Poor Dad: here a form to fill out, there a check to pay. Here some instructions to listen to, there some advise. Do this, do that.

But he’s a grownup he can handle it. Hey, what’s that? Yes I know, they talked about this earlier. It’s a car seat.

Strange looking thing, man. And uh, it’s tight too. But safe, ya know. That’s good and important. Ok. Now lets get it over with.

And that? Hee, hee, Mom has to sit in one of these chairs with wheels, and they put me on her lap. Funny.

It’s almost like this German fairytale “Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten”

(a rooster on the back of a cat on the back of a dog on the back of a donkey – the donkey would be Dad ;-)

Anyway. This is it. Good buy nurses and doctors. I must say, you all did a great job. And I certainly will recommend you to all my fellow unborn comrades.

This is a great hospital: El Camino Hospital in Mountain View. Address and telephone number you’ll find out by asking Mom or Dad. Don’t be shy.

They are nice fellas. So, last hurdle, last door. This is it. This is freedom, sort of. Smells good though. Yeah, this is fresh air. And that’s your car?

Not bad. A Camry, huh? Yeah I know. I drove in with this car. But now I can see how it looks like. It’s ok. It’s not a Porsche though, but not bad.

Actually they say it’s a great car: reliable, safe, and comfortable. We’ll find out soon. But right now it’s time for a nap. Told ya before: Nap is good.

Nap is always good. Helps me grow. And right now I am very tired. Must be the fresh air. Uaaaaaaaah! Later, dude.

Hey what’s this shakin’ all ‘bout? Let’s see. I’ll risk an eye. Hey Dad is carrying me again. There’s a door. There’s Grandma again. YES.

This must be the house. Not so bad, huh. I’m feeling to sing like Ozzy Osbourne in the song: “Mama, I'm Coming Home”.

It’s not a palace -- but nice and cozy. Oooooh, Mona likes!

Hey that can’t be true: Visitors again! I’m not even home for 2 hours and again visitors. Well, I must be popular then, right.

Oh it’s the Foleys again. Haven’t we just met? And now again? Oh well, come on in. Have a seat. I’m sure we can fix you something to eat.

In the meantime: I’m taking a nap.

Another day in paradise …
